Iran don dey face serious cyberattacks wey hit their nuclear facilities and almost all three branches of their government. According to reports, the judiciary, the legislature, and the executive branch of the Iranian government have all been affected by these heavy cyberattacks, and sensitive information has been stolen.
Abolhassan Firouzabadi, the former secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council for Cyberspace, talk say the cyberattacks no only target the government branches but also their nuclear facilities, fuel distribution networks, municipal services, transportation, and ports. This happen as tensions dey rise for the Middle East, especially after Israel’s missile barrage on October 1.
The cyberattacks come at a time when regional conflicts dey intensify in Gaza and Lebanon. Iran’s civil aviation organization don also ban pagers and walkie-talkies on all flights following sabotage attacks in Lebanon that involve these devices and kill at least 39 Hezbollah members.
Though the reports no specify who be behind the cyberattacks, there be speculation that Israel might be involved given the recent escalation of conflicts between the two countries.
