One of the aspirants for the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, Valentine Ozigbo, don talk say he dey contest to save the state from collapsing. Ozigbo, wey dey vie to contest under the platform of the Labour Party, talk dis on Sunday when he address dignitaries from across parties and religious divides as a guest of Osisioma Foundation at Osisioma Peace Lodge, Umunya in Oyi Local Government Area of the state.
Ozigbo say he get all the qualities needed to be the next governor of Anambra State in 2025. He say he be child of grace who come from humble and disciplined background, adding that his involvement in Anambra politics be driven by his passion to redeem the state and restore it to its former glory.
Ozigbo note say the state’s current rating as the worst in security challenges in the South-East could only be remedied by the right person. He insist say Anambra need someone who could steer the ship of the state to the right course with support from well-meaning people, reiterating his commitment and capacity to turn around the state’s fortunes with his experience in the business sectors.
He talk say, “These are the basic things that need to be done to put Anambra on the map, but regretfully, the state has become unlivable due to the high crime rate and is becoming the worst in the entire South East. It is unfortunate that those things that made the state thick were now used to troll it, despite producing such eminent figures as Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Chinua Achebe, among others.”
Ozigbo say Anambra need someone to restore it to its past glory in order to shine again according to his mantra of ‘Ka Anambra Chawapu.’ He add say the development of Anambra State is beyond politics. Every hand must be on deck to make that happen, and this is why we must collectively ensure that the right person is produced to harness the State’s resources.
Ozigbo, who describe himself as a product of nature, assure the Chairman of Osisioma Foundation, Dr Chike Obidigbo, that he would make him proud.
