Today, October 5, 2024, be de day we dey celebrate our amazing teachers all over de world. World Teachers’ Day, wey UNESCO establish in 1994, na special day to honour and appreciate de hard work and dedication of our teachers.
For dis year, de theme be “Valuing teacher voices: Towards a new social contract for education.” Dis theme emphasize de important role teachers play in shaping de future of education and de need to include their perspectives in educational policies and decisions.
Our teachers no be just people wey teach us books; dem be mentors, guides, and friends. Dem help us grow, inspire us, and make learning fun. As one quote say, “A good teacher is like a candle—it consumes itself to light the way for others”.
On dis special day, we dey celebrate all de teachers who never give up on us, even when we doubt ourselves. We thank dem for their patience, wisdom, and care. As Malala Yousafzai say, “One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world”.
