Gwamnatin Najeriya ta fara tsare baya game da amincin motoci na Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bayan gwamnatin Malaysia ta sanar da kama shi daga Yuli 2025. Sanarwar da Ministan Safarar Jirgin Kasa na Malaysia, Anthony Loke, ya fitar, ya jawo martani daga manyan jama’a a Najeriya, musamman a lokacin da gwamnatin Najeriya ke tallafawa amfani da CNG a matsayin madadin man fetur.
Loke ya ce an yanke shawarar kama CNG ne domin kare lafiyar masu amfani da hanyoyi da jama’a gaba daya. Ya nuna cewa tankunan CNG suna da rayuwar amfani mai tsawon shekaru 15, kuma idan ba a maye gurbinsu ba, zasu zama marasa aminci kuma zasu iya fashewa a kowace lokaci.
A Najeriya, gwamnatin shugaba Bola Tinubu ta fara wani shiri na kasa don tallafawa amfani da CNG a matsayin madadin man fetur wanda ake zarginsa da kasancewa mai aminci da araha fiye da man fetur. A watan Agusta 2023, Tinubu ya amince da kafa shirin Presidential Compressed Natural Gas initiative domin rage rage da tasirin soke tallafin man fetur kan ‘yan kasa.
