Gwamnatin Tarayyar Najeriya, tare da kasashen Morocco, Mauritania, da kungiyar tattalin arzikin kasashen yammacin Afirka (ECOWAS), sun bayyana himmar su ta ci gaba da gudanar da shawarar gas ta Afirka-Atlantic, wacce ake zata kai dala biliyan 26.
Wakilan kasashen da suka halarci taron ministan mai na ECOWAS kan shirin gas na Najeriya-Moroko sun tabbatar da hadin gwiwa da abokan hulda domin ci gaban shirin, wanda yake da nufin haɗa kasa a ƙalla 13 na yanki da kuma kishin tattalin arziqi a yankin.
Taron da aka gudanar a ranar Juma’a a Abuja ya hada da ministocin mai na ECOWAS, tare da shirye-shiryen kasashen Morocco da Mauritania.
Shirin NMGP wani aiki ne da gwamnatin tarayya ta Najeriya da masarautar Morocco suka fara, wanda aka fara tsarin sa lokacin da sarki Mohammed VI na Morocco ya ziyarci Najeriya a watan Disambar 2016.
Shawarar gas ta Afirka-Atlantic, wacce ake zata kai dala biliyan 26, ta hada da shirye-shirye biyu na pipeline: shirin karin pipeline na gas na yammacin Afirka da kudin dala biliyan 975, wanda zai kai kilomita 678, da shirin pipeline na gas na Najeriya-Moroko da kudin dala biliyan 25, wanda zai kai kilomita 5,669.
Manufar da ake da shirin ita ce kawo kuɗi daga albarkatun gas na Najeriya, kuma kawo sababbin hanyoyin fitar da gas, da kawar da wuta a wajen gas.
Zai taimaka wajen samar da gas ga Morocco, kasashen ECOWAS 13, da Turai, da kuma haɗa tattalin arzikin yankin.
Taron da aka gudanar ya mayar da hankali kan bayar da sabon tsarin doka ga ministocin mai na yankin, da kuma bayar da rahoto kan ci gaban shirin, wanda shi ne mataki muhimmi don haɗa kasashen yankin cikin tsarin gudanar da shirin.
Shugaban darakta na kamfanin mai na kasa (NNPC), Mele Kyari, ya tabbatar da mahimmancin yanke shawara a taron, inda ya ce zai canza gaba na shirin gas na Afirka-Atlantic. “Tare da goyon bayan hadin gwiwa na yankin, NNPC tana da matsayi duniya don ci gaban shirin, ta hanyar amfani da kwarewar ta a fannoni daban-daban na samarwa, sarrafa, watsa, da sayar da gas, da kuma kwarewar ta a gudanar da shirye-shirye na gas a Najeriya”.
Ministan jihar na albarkatun man fetur (gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, ya nuna tasirin da shirin zai yi. “Mun tsaya a wani lokaci muhimmi inda ayyukan da aka tsara za iya canza haliyar makamashin mu, karfafa tattalin arzikin mu, da kuma inganta rayuwar al’umma”.
Ministan makamashin canji na Morocco, Laila Benali, ta nuna farin ciki game da tasirin da shirin zai yi wajen buɗe sababbin kasuwanci da kuma samar da ayyukan yi.
Komishina na ECOWAS kan aikin gona, makamashi, da dijitalisa, Sediko Douka, ya nuna mahimmancin hadin gwiwa tsakanin dukkan bangarorin, inda ya ce, “Mun isa wani lokaci muhimmi a ci gaban shirin, kuma yana da mahimmanci ga dukkan bangarorin da su aiki tare don kai shi ga gama”.
