Gunfire for Delta State: Suspected Kidnappers Dem Be Dead! Police Catch More!

Bright Edafe, di Police Public Relations Officer, talk say, dem nab three people, including di gang’s boss, Adamu Abubakar, wey people dey call Dogo. Dis raid happen for around 11 p.m. as police dey respond to serious cases of kidnap and armed robbery wey don dey happen for di area.

“Di CP Special Assignment Team, led by ASP Julius Robinson, follow di intelligence wey dem gather, track and capture Abubakar for DSC roundabout, Warri. Di arrest lead to di capture of two others, Abubakar Mohammed, wey dem dey call Chede, and Mohammed Bellow, for Otovwodo Park,” Edafe explain.

Investigation show say di suspects dey involved for several kidnappings and armed robberies wey don happen around Iyamuge, Otu-Jeremi, Warri, Ughelli, and nearby communities. As police interrogate dem, dem lead operatives to Iyamugo Forest, where dem recover plenty weapons.

Di police recover items wey include one AK-47 rifle, one pump-action gun, three locally made guns, two magazines, 60 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, and 17 live cartridges. But as di police dey comot from di forest, some of di gang members engage dem for gun duel. Five of dem collect gunshot injuries while some run away.

Di injured suspects go hospital but later die as dem dey receive treatment. Di three remaining suspects and di weapons wey dem recover dey under police custody, and di investigation still dey continue,” di statement talk.

Dis incident na di latest for series of violent crimes wey dey hit Nigeria, as earlier news report show say three armed robbers also die during gunfight with police for Filin-Dabo village in di Federal Capital Territory back in February.
