Fuel Price Don Rise: Abuja to Lagos With CNG Go Cost You N10,000, Presidential Aide Talk

Fuel queues don resurface for Lagos and Abuja after NNPC Ltd. increase petrol price again. From N855 per litre, petrol price now N998 for Lagos, and for North-Eastern states, e reach N1,003 per litre.

Many filling stations for Lagos, including those along Ikorodu Road, Ikeja, and Bariga, don close temporarily because of the price hike. Other marketers like Northwest filling stations dey sell petrol for N1,000, Hyden Petroleum for N1,100, and NIPCO for N1,050.

Dr Ayodele Oni, an energy lawyer, suggest say government should encourage competition by promoting modular refineries and revamping existing national facilities. He also advise say government should defend Naira with foreign exchange in short term and encourage exports and foreign direct investment for long term.

In another development, Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, announce say traveling from Abuja to Lagos using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will only cost N10,000. This suggestion come as part of efforts to reduce the impact of fuel price fluctuations on citizens.

Labor unions like NLC dey lament the new petrol pump price and demand reversal. They say the price hike dey cause hardship for Nigerians and dey call for immediate action from the government.
