Dis step no be joke o, na major move wey go help dem expand technology-driven banking wey fit carry many undergraduates go the next level.
As Mrs. Abimbola Kunle-Ajayi, wey dey run Branch Operations Services for Lagos and West, come visit YABATECH, she clearly explain say dis centre go make sense for the bank mission to dey push digital financial inclusion. Naija youths dem dey catch the technology vibes well well, and dis one go fit help meet dem banking needs.
She talk say YABATECH na strategic partner, no be small, as e be the first tertiary institution for Nigeria. Na 2021, First Bank start dey open this kind Digital Experience Centres to position dem as modern financial brand after COVID-19 turn everybody head upside down.
Currently, First Bank don get eight of these centres for Lagos and Abuja, plus some universities like University of Lagos and University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Dem dey plan to launch another centre for University of Ilorin come December. Na God dey do am! These centres dey offer fully automated banking services like cash deposits and withdrawals, instant card issuance, and fund transfers, all without any wahala.
But that no be all. Abimbola also promise say dem go give YABATECH students internship opportunities to sharpen dem skills as dey create more partnership between both institutions. E no sweet pass to hear say your school dey connect with bank wey get street cred!
Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, the Rector of YABATECH, welcome dem like say na family visit. E praise First Bank for considering dem for dis project, reminding everybody say YABATECH na first of its kind wey don dey exist since 1947 and now dey transition into full university status. Talk about proud moments!
