Ratcliffe, who acquire 27.7% stake in Manchester United last December, say he like Ten Hag and believe he be good coach, but he no want to answer question about whether he still have faith in de Dutchman. “I don’t want to answer that question. I like Erik. I think he’s a very good coach, but at de end of de day it’s not my call,” Ratcliffe tell BBC in Barcelona.
Ratcliffe explain say de management team, including CEO Omar Berrada and sporting director Dan Ashworth, who join de club in July, need to take stock and make sensible decisions. “Dey only been here for few weeks, so dey need to assess de situation and make informed choices. Our objective be very clear: we want to take Manchester United back to where it should be, and it’s not there yet,” he add.
Manchester United currently dey 13th in de Premier League and haven’t win in four matches in all competitions. Ten Hag, who get one-year contract extension in summer, face pressure ahead of deir next match against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Ten Hag himself maintain say his team have de belief and positive mindset, but dey need to improve in some areas. “Dis team possess de belief dat dey will not give up. Dey exhibit positive mindset and strong mentality. However, dere are areas where dey need to elevate deir performance,” he say.
