Gwamnatin Tarayya ta Nijeriya ta yi wani hatari maida zurfi wajen warware matsalolin da ke tsakaninta da ma’aikatan jami’o’i ta hanyar naɗin Dr. Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, Pro-Chancellor na Jami’ar Ahmadu Bello, Zaria, a matsayin shugaban kwamitin sake-negotiation na shekarar 2009 na gwamnatin tarayya da ma’aikatan jami’o’i.
Kwamitin wannan na huɗu a cikin shekaru bakwai ya fara aiki a ranar Talata a Abuja. Membobin kwamitin sun hada da Olanrewaju Tejuoso, Prof Nora Daduut, Amb Greg Mbadiwe, Prof Ignatius Onimao, Joshua Lidani, da Prof Ayodeji Omole.
ASUU da Joint Action Committee na Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) da Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) sun bayar da ultimatum ga gwamnatin tarayya don biyan albashi da aka kawar da su da kuma aiwatar da bukatunsu. Waɗannan bukatu sun hada da sakin kudin gyarawa ga jami’o’i, sakin izinin aiki na ma’aikatan jami’o’i, amfani da tsarin bayar da albashi na jami’o’i (UTAS), da sake-negotiation kan yarjejeniyar ASUU-FGN ta shekarar 2009.
SSANU da NASU kuma suna bukatar biyan albashi na watanni huɗu da aka kawar da su, karin albashi, izinin aiki, da aiwatar da yarjejeniyar shekarar 2009 da gwamnatin tarayya. Kwamitin ya samu suka daga SSANU da NASU saboda yadda aka gudanar da taron kaddamar da kwamitin, wanda aka ce ya mayar da hankali kan ASUU fiye da sauran kungiyoyin ma’aikata.
Ministan Ilimi, Prof. Tahir Mamman, ya ce kwamitin zai shawarci masu ruwa da tsaki na kai ga yarjejeniya da za tabbatar da sulhu da ci gaban jami’o’i. Shugaban kwamitin, Dr. Yayale Ahmed, ya yi alkawarin aiki tare da jama’a don tabbatar da yarjejeniyar da za tabbatar da sulhu da ci gaban jami’o’i.
