David Beckham, the former Manchester United star, don dey talk say minority owner Jim Ratcliffe need time to bring back the good old days to Manchester United. Beckham, wey win six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and the Champions League with United, believe say fans must be patient with Ratcliffe and his team.
Ratcliffe, wey be British billionaire, buy minority stake in Manchester United from the Glazers earlier this year through his company INEOS. But despite dis, United no dey do well dis season, sitting 14th in the Premier League after seven games and winless in two Europa League matches.
Beckham talk dis on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, where he say that the club need change and a “fresh perspective”. He praise Ratcliffe, saying “I really like Jim… I think that he’s a fan and obviously he’s a great businessman as well, one of the best and one of the biggest.”
Beckham also emphasize say the fans see that Ratcliffe care about the club, which be important. “I think obviously the fans had lost faith with the leadership over the years and obviously he really cares about what he wants to do and what he wants to create,” he add.
United fans dey eager to see their team return to their former glory, but Beckham warn say these things take time. “We have been quite patient as United fans over the years but we want those good old days back. We want those days back and the sooner the better,” he say.
