Abuja, Nigeria – E be like say wahala don start again for Nnamdi Kanu camp, as Justice Musa Liman of the Federal High Court yesterday, return Kanu’s motion back to Chief Judge for reassigning.
Kanu, wey be the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), don raise concern about him health, as him dey beg make dem transfer am go National Hospital, Abuja, for urgent medical attention. But as e be, Justice Liman no gree hear the matter this time, as him talk say the application come too late make dem decide am before court vacation wey go end for September 15.
True true, Kanu’s lawyer, Uchenna Njoku, SAN, don carry the application come court, but wahala be say, no time for vacation court to handle the case. Justice Liman quickly reference Section 46(8) of Federal High Court Rules, wey talk say any case wey no fit complete during vacation, suppose go back to Chief Judge for fresh assignment. Na so dem carry am waka go back, see e no easy at all (even if dem no fit locate Kanu’s chaplet for this matter).
As the judge remind everybody wetin dey on ground, him no dey miss gist, talk say na over 30 cases dey wait for the court, but dem prune am down to only six o! So you fit imagine the stress dey on top head abi? Kanu matter no fit take priority this time.
Even the lawyer wey represent the Department of State Services, Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN, no fit fight the talk wey Njoku bring, e just gree say na late they bring this matter come. “If dem don file am earlier, we for don settle this matter since,” he add.
While the sitdown dey hot, Kanu’s lawyers dey complain say doctors don talk say him health dey jinjah because of confinement. Dem talk say e get complications with him pancreas and liver, under-arm lump, and potassium dey low for bodi. Na serious matter, my people!
Dem also drop letter wey show say doctors don write to DSS, make una carry Kanu go hospital, but nobody don reply dem (no wonder dem say no be every letter wey you write go get answer). Kanu come dey feel like say na only miracles go fit save am; e be like say dem need to fast and pray for am o.
As e be now, we fit only wait for the Chief Judge to give order wey go determine wetin go happen next. Na the judiciary matter, and as usual, we go follow am ginger from sidon-pit (we still dey hope sey dem go carry Kanu go clinic before he turn to bone).
