Cesc Fabregas Don Become Head Coach, Como Go Shine Again!

Como, Italy — Cesc Fabregas don take charge as head coach for Como football team after him successful playing career. Fabregas, who dey 37 years old, start him coaching journey as interim head coach in November 2023, and later sign four-year contract last July.

Fabregas start as investor for Como through him agent Darren Dein. He join as player for 2022–23 season and later retire to become under-19 coach. Following him promotion to senior head coach, Como dey currently sit 13th in Serie A table, nine points clear of relegation and seventh for possession.

“Cesc don learn from many top coaches like Pep Guardiola, Vicente del Bosque, and Arsene Wenger,” Reina explain. “He has brought experience and a winning mentality to the team.” Sergi Roberto add say that Fabregas reads games well, with two or three game plans usually prepared.

Como’s team dey gain recognition for their performance, with them ranked fourth for tackles and fifth for dribbles per game. This season, Como spend €50 million in players, including veteran Andrea Belotti and young talent Nico Paz, who don impress with six goals and five assists already.

Reina reflect on Fabregas’ influence, “Cesc don show ambition and experience, and our team is adapting to different styles of play.” The ownership of the Djarum Group, which get over $35 billion, help the team invest heavily since 2019, transforming Como from fourth tier to Serie A.

Sergi Roberto talk about the team’s goal: “Our main aim this season na to remain in Serie A and we dey close to that goal. I dey ambitious, and I want to help the team finish 10th.”
