The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development don receive big honour from the Bureau of Public Service Reforms for their innovative use of technology. Dem give dem the award for “Best Federal MDA in Innovative Use of Technology” for 2024.
This award was presented to the Minister, Ahmed Dangiwa, during the Nigeria GOVTECH Public Service Awards held on Friday, October 11, in Abuja. Minister Dangiwa also receive the “Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer Award” for his leadership in bringing technology into public service.
Director General of BPSR, Dr. Dasuki Arabi, say the awards were given because of the Ministry’s outstanding work in advancing technology and digitisation programmes. He mention the launch of the Online Renewed Hope Housing Portal as one of the key achievements. This portal, which dey accessible at www.renewedhopehomes.fmhud.gov.ng, has make the housing application process easier and more transparent for Nigerians.
The Ministry’s Electronic Certificate of Occupancy Technology System was also praised for simplifying and securing the title issuance process for federal real estate, making everything more transparent and efficient.
In his acceptance speech, Minister Dangiwa thank the BPSR and acknowledge the contributions of the Permanent Secretary, Dr Marcus Ogunbiyi, and the dedicated staff. He also pledge to continue their efforts in housing and urban development, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda set forth by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
