Bruce Springsteen, wey dem dey call ‘The Boss’, don publicly endorse Kamala Harris for President of the United States. Springsteen, wey be one of the most influential musicians of our time, use Instagram to announce his support for Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.
In the video he post, Springsteen explain why he dey support Harris and Walz. He say, “Kamala Harris and Tim Walz dey committed to a vision for dis country that respect and include everybody, no matter your class, religion, race, political beliefs, or sexual identity.” He also talk about how dem want grow the economy in a way that benefit everybody, not just a few rich people.
Springsteen no hide his feelings about Donald Trump, as he describe Trump as “the most perilous candidate for president in my lifetime”. He say Trump no understand the meaning of America, its history, or what it mean to be deeply American.
This endorsement come after other celebrities like Taylor Swift, Meryl Streep, Chris Rock, and Oprah Winfrey already show their support for Kamala Harris. Springsteen, who be a longtime advocate for Democratic causes, had previously endorse Barack Obama in 2008 and Joe Biden in 2020.
Tim Walz, who be the governor of Minnesota, react to Springsteen’s endorsement with excitement. He say on X (formerly Twitter), “Wow. As a lifelong admirer of The Boss, I couldn’t be more privileged to have his support.”
