Police for Bauchi State don arrest two teenagers wey dem accuse say dem steal 100 mobile phones and 75 music players from one phone store.
According to Ahmed Wakil, de spokesperson for de Bauchi State Police Command, de arrest happen after de store owner report de theft. Wakil say police operatives begin investigate de matter and dem eventually catch de two students of Bakari Dukku Comprehensive Secondary School.
De suspects, Hamza Sadiq and Adamu Ahmadu, both 15 years old, confess say dem get de key to de store from where de owner keep am. Dem use dis key to open de shop door and steal de items during de day when de owner go village market.
Wakil explain say de suspects sell some of de stolen phones for N5,000 and N8,000. Dem use de money to buy clothes, food, and even one smartphone, which later get stolen from one of dem.
Police recover some of de stolen items, including 21 mobile phones, five MP4 players, one mobile phone charger, and one metal key from de suspects.
Wakil stress say de police command dey committed to fighting crime and say de suspects will be transferred to a remand home for rehabilitation after de investigation finish.
