PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria – Former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, don raise alarm over the source of funding for major infrastructure projects wey dey happen for Abia State, as e call on Governor Alex Otti to show wetin dey back the funding.

However, Amaechi no geh backup di excitement without asking serious questions about di financial strategy behind di projects. He talk say plenty governors wey dey face similar economic challenges dey always complain say federal allocations no dey enough to push development.
Amaechi talk say, “With di scale of projects wey dey happen for Abia, Governor Otti suppose give people clear explanation about di funding model. E no go make sense if people no sabi how dem wan fund all dis transformation wey dey go on for God’s own State, Abia.”
He insist say accountability for governance dey very important, especially when di speed of development dey surpass wetin dem dey see for financial constraints. “Transformation dey commendable, but di people deserve to know how dem dey fund di projects for Abia State,” he add.
Amaechi’s call for transparency fit shed light on wetin some citizens dey reason about di ongoing developments in di state, raising questions on wetin dey motivate such rapid improvements.
