Rabiu Ali open the scoring from the penalty spot in the 15th minute after Ahmed Musa’s cross was handled by a Rangers defender. Zulkifilu Muhammad double the lead in the 28th minute with Musa providing the assist. Ali strike again from the penalty spot in the 37th minute after Musa was fouled in the box. Musa then seal the first-half rout with a solo effort just before half time, beating four Rangers defenders to score.
Rangers try to stage a comeback in the second half, with Isaac Saviour scoring twice in the 46th and 59th minutes. Emmanuel Silas Nimrot add a third goal for Rangers in the 90th minute, but it was too late to change the outcome.
