Harris, Trump dey Fight for Last Votes as US Election Draw Near

As the US presidential election dey approach its final two weeks, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump dey make every effort to win over undecided voters. Dis election, which many people describe as one of the tightest in recent American history, go see either the first female president or the first person with a felony conviction enter the White House on November 5.

Trump, who dey make a special pitch to Latino voters, dey engage in a round discussion with voters at one of his properties in Florida. After dat, he plan to travel to North Carolina, another key swing state, for an event focused on the economy. However, Trump’s rallies often stray from economic topics, and he has faced criticism for his chaotic and disjointed speeches, including a recent town hall event where he started singing his favorite songs on stage.

Harris, on the other hand, dey prepare for a national interview with NBC and has scheduled former President Barack Obama to campaign for her in Wisconsin and Michigan, two of the seven pivotal swing states. Harris aim to present herself as a “joyful warrior” ready to move beyond the tumultuous years of Trump’s presidency and usher in a new era of political leadership in America.

Recent polling data show that both candidates are neck and neck, with slight advantages here and there but within the margin of error. Over 15 million Americans have already cast their votes, either by mail or in person, which accounts for approximately 10 percent of the total turnout in the 2020 election. Early voting has commenced in several states, including Florida and Wisconsin, and is set to continue until November 3.

In terms of fundraising, Harris’s campaign has outperformed Trump significantly, raising over $1 billion, including $633 million in the third quarter alone. This financial edge is being used for a last-minute advertising blitz as election day draws near.

The Harris campaign has also started to question Trump’s mental and physical capacity for the presidency, while Trump continues to attract strong support from his MAGA base. Democrats are also targeting moderate Republicans disillusioned by Trump’s rhetoric and controversies.
