Asue Ighodalo, wey be the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, don send warm felicitations to the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, on his 71st birthday and 8th coronation anniversary.
In a letter he personally sign on Sunday, Ighodalo praise the monarch’s sterling qualities, which he say have make am dear to everybody. He talk say, “Your enduring efforts towards peace, social development, and progress have solidified your position not just as a custodian of our history, but as a transformative leader for present and future generations,” Ighodalo state.
Ighodalo also commend the Oba for his commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of Benin Kingdom and his love for his people. He pray say, “May this anniversary bring renewed vigour and divine favour upon you and the Kingdom. May you continue to be blessed with good health, long life, and the wisdom to guide the Benin Kingdom.”
Aside from Ighodalo, the newly elected executive of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Edo State chapter, also hail the monarch on his 8th coronation anniversary and 71st birthday celebration. NULGE president-elect, Comrade Clifford Daudu, praise the Oba for his exemplary leadership and commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Benin kingdom.
Daudu say, “We, the members of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees including those who work directly at the royal palace, pledge our loyalty and support to His Royal Majesty. We appreciate his role in fostering unity, preservation of our culture, and development of the kingdom, as we pray and look forward to many more years of his enlightened reign,” the statement read.
