Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) don start demolish illegal buildings for Sabon Lugbe, one area wey dey Phase Five district of Federal Capital City (FCC). Tpl. Murktar Galadima, Director of FCTA’s department of development control, talk say dem dey committed to eliminate illegal developments for FCT.
Galadima say, “We dey here today for Sabon Lugbe Southwest area, wey be part of Phase Five district of FCC, and recall say some time back, we warn say we go act against land grabbers. Today’s exercise be continuation of that warning.”
Dem start with demolition of about 10 structures, and Galadima describe am as “full swing” operation wey go continue. Close to 50 illegal structures, including duplexes and bungalows, go be demolished as part of dis ongoing crackdown.
Galadima warn say areas like Idu Train Station, Gosa, Kyami, Apo Tarfi, and Lugbe don become hotbeds for land grabbing, and FCTA no go tolerate illegal developments. “Today we dey Lugbe, and we go continue, as dis be continuous exercise. Illegal developments no go be entertained,” he say.
