Foundation dey Give Scholarship to Students

Recently, several foundations around the world have been showing their commitment to education by awarding scholarships to deserving students. One such example is the Lincoln Foundation for Education Inc. (LiFE), which received a generous donation from Matco Tools to support students pursuing careers in transportation.

Matco Tools, a leading supplier of tools and equipment for the automotive, diesel, and collision repair sectors, has pledged to donate $100,000 annually until 2028. This funding will be used to provide scholarships and awards to students at Lincoln Technical Institute (LTI), helping them acquire essential skills for in-demand jobs in the transportation sector.

In another instance, the SWL Foundation in Nigeria has awarded scholarships to six students from the Simisola Gbadamosi Scholarship Fund. This initiative is part of the foundation’s Digital Life After School Program, which aims to bridge the technology gap in underserved communities by providing digital literacy training to underprivileged children. The program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, promoting inclusive and equitable education.

In the United States, the Soignier family has donated $104,000 to the ULM Foundation to establish the Chester and Nell Soignier Endowed Scholarship in Agribusiness. This scholarship will be awarded each semester to a student pursuing a degree in Agribusiness who maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA. The first recipient, Katelynn Faulk, received $2,000 for the Fall 2024 semester and will receive another $2,000 for the Spring 2025 semester.

The First Responders Children’s Foundation (FRCF) has also announced scholarships for the children of U.S. first responders. In collaboration with CSX, FRCF has granted 197 scholarships to students from 20 different states, based on financial need, academic merit, leadership skills, and community involvement. These scholarships are part of the CSX Pride in Service initiative, which supports the educational aspirations of first responders’ children.
