One group wey dey Ilesha, Osun State, don call on the next Owa Obokun to make sure say dem continue the good things wey the late Oba Adekunle Aromolaran do for Ijesa land. The group, wey dem call Ofokutu Vanguard Group of the Ofokutu Royal family, make dis call because dem know say the late monarch leave big shoes wey dem need someone with the same qualities to fill.
The late Oba Aromolaran die in September at the age of 86, and since den, the people of Ijesa land dey feel the void wey he leave. The coordinator of the group, Adediran Ofokutu, sign one statement on Thursday where he talk say the late monarch’s leadership, wisdom, and vision leave mark wey no one fit erase for the history of Ijesa land.
Ofokutu stress say the next Owa of Ijesha land must be someone wey get the same wisdom, compassion, and vision like the late Aromolaran. He also talk say the people’s will must be respected and prioritised when dem dey select the next king, and dem must maintain the rotational system wey dem dey use to select kings.
The rotational system involve four royal houses: Biladu, Bilagbayo, Bilaro, and Bilayirere. Ofokutu say dis system don bring peace, stability, and fairness to their kingdom and dem must no change am.
The Ofokutu Royal family stand with the family of the late monarch and the people of Ijesaland during dis difficult time. Dem pray say the memories of their departed Kabiyesi continue to inspire and guide dem as dem move forward.
