A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama has approved a request by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to present witnesses virtually in the trial of former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
This decision was made to facilitate the smooth conduct of the trial, considering the logistical challenges that might arise from physical appearances. The court’s approval is a significant step in leveraging technology to enhance the efficiency of the judicial process.
