Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, don dey deny say him defame human rights lawyer Femi Falana and him son, rapper Falz. Dis denial come after Falana and Falz give Bobrisky 12-hour ultimatum to apologize and retract defamatory claims wey dey circulate online.
Bobrisky say him no give Falana or Falz any money to secure presidential pardon during him time in prison. Him make dis statement on him Instagram page, where him insist say no penny was given to dem. “I, Okuneye Idris, aka Bobrisky didn’t give Falz or his dad any money for pardon. As a matter of fact, no penny was given to them. Have said this before and I will say it again,” him write.
The controversy start after social media influencer Martins ‘VDM’ Otse leak audio recordings wey allegedly show Bobrisky talking about how him try to secure presidential pardon. In one of the audios, person wey sound like Bobrisky claim say him speak with Falz to ask for help from him father, Falana, to secure pardon for N10 million. Another audio also claim say Bobrisky pay N5 million to Senior Advocate of Nigeria to secure Federal Government pardon.
Bobrisky argue say VeryDarkMan, the person wey publish the audios, should be held responsible for the defamatory content. “The person that published an audio online should take full responsibility for what he posted in public,” Bobrisky write. Him also state say him lawyer go respond to any further information the public want about the issue.
Lagos State High Court recently order VeryDarkMan to take down defamatory videos and comments targeting Falana and Falz within 21 days. The court direct VDM to delete and stop the distribution or circulation of the defamatory content.
