Femi Omoniyi, one of the princes from the Bilagbayo Ruling House of Ijesaland, don dey call for justice and fairness in the selection of the new Owa Obokun of Ijesaland. Dis call come after the death of the former Owa Obokun, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran.
Omoniyi make dis call in a statement on Wednesday, where he appeal to the kingmakers to no allow any individual, group, or ruling house to interfere with the due process of selecting the new monarch. He stress say Ijesaland be a place of integrity and hard work, and any attempt to pick the wrong person for the throne go cause more division and disturb the peace and tranquility of the land.
He also advise some princes from the Bilaro ruling house to stop campaigning for the throne, and instead, support a speedy and fair process to select the new Owa Obokun. Omoniyi believe say if dem follow due process, it go help Ijesaland get a new king quickly and avoid any long vacancy on the throne.
Omoniyi emphasize say equity and fairness must be the guiding principles in this selection process to ensure the overall interest of Ijesaland is protected.
