Senate don confirm 21 new commissioners for Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) on Wednesday. Dis confirmation follow de presentation of report by Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, wey be de Chairman of de joint committee on National Planning, Economic Affairs, and Finance.
President Bola Tinubu appoint de nominees for dis position in August and ask de Senate to confirm dem. Senator Yahaya Abdullahi say all de nominees be fit to hold public office, and with dis appointment, every state in Nigeria now get representation on de RMAFC board.
De confirmed commissioners include Linda Nkechi Oti from Abia; Akpan Imo Effiong from Akwa Ibom; Enefe Ekene from Anambra; Steve Ugba from Benue; and Eyonsa Whiley from Cross River. Others be Aruviere Egharhevwe from Delta; Nduka Henry Awuregu from Ebonyi; Victor Eboigbe from Edo; Wumi Ogunlola from Ekiti; and Ozo Obumreme Obodougo from Enugu.
Dem also confirm Kabir Ibrahim Mashi from Katsina; Adamu Fanda from Kano; Kunle Wright from Lagos; Almakura Abdulkadir from Nasarawa; Bako Shetima from Niger; Amosun Akintoye from Ogun; Nathaniel Adejutelegan from Ondo; Saad Bello Ibrahim from Plateau; Aji Anuluri from Yobe; and Bello Rabiu Garba from Zamfara.
