Lagos State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) don unveil their first 3,000 Commercial Natural Gas (CNG) tricycles, wey dey worth N10.2 billion. Dis move na to help ease transport challenges for Lagosians.
The unveiling of these tricycles be part of the union’s efforts to modernize and make transport more efficient and environmentally friendly. CNG tricycles go dey cheaper to run compared to petrol or diesel, and dem go also reduce pollution.
The NURTW Lagos State Chapter believe say dis new fleet go help reduce transport costs and make life easier for commuters. Dey also hope say dis go encourage more people to use public transport, which go dey safer and more reliable.
This initiative also align with the state government’s plan to improve infrastructure and reduce environmental impact. Dey expect say more tricycles go be added to the fleet in the future as part of their long-term plan.
