Kogi State Government don call on Federal Government and international donor agencies to come help them as flood dey ravage many communities inside the state. This call come after flood affect over 70 communities and displace more than 200 people.
The flood, wey start some days ago, don cause serious damage to homes, farms, and other properties. Many people lose their belongings and some even lose their homes. The state government say they need urgent help to manage the situation and provide relief to the affected people.
The Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in Kogi State talk say the flood affect many local government areas, including Ibaji, Idah, and Lokoja. He appeal to the Federal Government and other organizations to send aid quickly so they can help the people who suffer from the flood.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other emergency responders don start work to provide relief materials and support to the affected communities. But the state government say they need more help to handle the scale of the disaster.
