Rumors dey spread like wildfire on social media say Israeli Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, don die in a Hezbollah drone attack. But dis rumor no be true.
On Sunday evening, Hezbollah launch drone attack near Binyamina area in Israel, and over 60 people get injured. After dis incident, fake reports start to spread fast on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), say Halevi don die.
Dr. Anastasia Maria Loupis, a verified social media figure with over a million followers, post say “Initial reports confirm the assassination of Israeli Army Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi,” but dis no be true. American commentator Jackson Hinkle, who get over 2 million followers, also share unconfirmed reports say Halevi be assassinated using “advanced Fiber-Optic Drones.”
Another verified account, SilencedSirs, post fake graphic show Israeli commanders with a red X over Halevi’s face, labeling him as “eliminated.” Researcher and journalist Sulaiman Ahmed, with over half a million followers, also spread dis false news, citing “unconfirmed reports.”
Despite all these rumors, Israeli authorities no confirm Halevi’s death. Halevi still dey active and leading Israel’s military operations against Hamas and other groups in the region.
