De son of former Kaduna State Governor, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, don die in auto crash along Kaduna to Kano highway on Saturday.
According to Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kaduna State Sector Commander, Kabir Nadabo, de accident happen at Lambar Zango along Zaria-Kaduna Highway around 18:15hrs. Nadabo tell News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday say de KIA vehicle Faisal dey travel with from Zaria to Kaduna experience tyre burst, and as de driver try to control de vehicle, it somersault.
Nadabo reveal say three persons, all males, involve in de accident. He say, “A team from RS1.17 Birnin Yero respond to de scene. However, upon getting there, it was learnt that de father of one of de victims had made arrangements for him to be transported to an undisclosed hospital in Kaduna for medical attention.”
Upon reaching de hospital, Faisal was confirmed dead while de driver and de third person still dey unconscious at de time of de report. De burial of Faisal is slated for 10 a.m on Sunday at Sultan Bello Mosque, Unguwar Sarki, Kaduna.
Faisal, who be civil engineer by training, attend Kaduna International School before proceeding to Adesoye College, Offa, Kwara State for his secondary education. He do his undergraduate and master’s degree programs at University of Greenwich, London, and he was PhD student at de same institution before his death.
