Oluwasegun Alabi, the Chief Executive Officer of Davidorlah Farms, don talk say pineapple farming and export fit generate foreign exchange for Nigeria. Alabi make dis statement recently, emphasizing the potential of pineapple cultivation in boosting the country’s economy.
According to Alabi, Davidorlah Farms dey plan to train about 50,000 pineapple farmers who will cultivate around 50,000 hectares of land. Dis initiative, he say, will not only generate income but also create jobs for many Nigerians, including at least 10,000 agronomists.
Alabi believe say if Nigeria take pineapple farming serious, it fit become one of the major sources of foreign exchange for the country, aside from oil. He also stress the importance of investing in agriculture to diversify Nigeria’s economy and reduce dependence on crude oil.
Dis move dey align with the Federal Government‘s efforts to promote agriculture and support small, medium, and micro enterprises in the sector. The government has been working hard to create an enabling environment for farmers and agricultural businesses to thrive.
