Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, don express him frustration wit how Nigerians dey react to economic hardship. According to Amaechi, Nigerians supposed to dey protest against politicians wey no dey do dem work well. Him talk dis during one interview where him say him very angry wit Nigerians for no taking action against politicians.
Amaechi also talk about him political journey and how him help nurture many politicians from Rivers State. Him mention say when him become governor, Nyesom Wike, who be current Minister of Federal Capital Territory, serve as him Chief of Staff. But Amaechi say him no like mentioning Wike’s name because of their long-standing political rift.
Him recall say him start politics at age 22 and him be part of Rufus George camp, which him describe as ‘poor and broke’ but built on principles. Amaechi emphasize say honesty be core value him instill in those him mentor, and him lament say current crop of politicians no dey like those of him time.
Amaechi’s comments mark another chapter in him and Wike’s strained relationship, with both leaders consistently clashing on political ideology and governance styles in Rivers State.
