Ondo State House of Assembly don reject the 2024 supplementary budget wey Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa bring before dem. Dis decision dey come after dem step down the second reading of the budget bill on Thursday.
The reason for dis rejection be say the Commissioner for Finance no show up for the assembly to defend the budget. Dis non-appearance cause tension and disagreement between the legislative and executive arms of government in Ondo State.
According to reports, the assembly members no happy with the way the executive arm handle the budget presentation, and dem decide to halt the process until the commissioner appear to answer questions and provide necessary explanations.
Dis development indicate say there be some rift between the legislative and executive arms of government in Ondo State, and it dey affect the smooth passage of important financial documents like the supplementary budget.
