David De Gea Save Two Penalties, Help Fiorentina Beat AC Milan 2-1

David De Gea, the former Manchester United goalkeeper, has once again proven his prowess in goal with two incredible penalty saves in Fiorentina‘s 2-1 victory over AC Milan in Serie A.

The match, played at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, saw De Gea deny Milan’s Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham from the spot. The first penalty save came in the first half stoppage time when Hernandez’s left-footed strike was palmed away by De Gea. In the second half, De Gea repeated his heroics by diving to the opposite side to deny Abraham’s strong one-handed shot.

Fiorentina took the lead through Yacine Adli‘s goal in the 35th minute, but Milan equalized in the 60th minute with a stunning right-foot volley from Christian Pulisic. However, Fiorentina restored their advantage when Albert Gudmundsson scored in the 73rd minute.

The game was marked by intense moments, including a red card for Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino for dissent and another for Milan’s Theo Hernandez after the final whistle for insulting the referee. De Gea’s performance was pivotal in securing Fiorentina’s victory, showcasing his continued ability to make clutch saves.
