Anne Hathaway don confirm say she go dey part of ‘Princess Diaries 3’, and dis news dey make many fans happy. Nearly two decades after de last film, Hathaway announce her return to de beloved franchise through a fun video on her Instagram account on Friday.
In de video, Hathaway count down to three while showing clips from de first two ‘Princess Diaries’ movies, and she even repeat one of her character’s most memorable quotes: “Shut up!” She caption de post with “Miracles happen,” and tag Som Pictures and de director of de new film, Adele Lim.
Adele Lim, who write ‘Crazy Rich Asians’, go direct de new film. Lim express her excitement about bringing de third installment of de franchise to life, saying, “We look forward to celebrating its core tenants of female power, joy and mentorship with audiences worldwide.”
Hathaway, who land de role of Princess Mia when she was just 17, has been a key figure in de development of ‘Princess Diaries 3’. She tell V Magazine in April that de film’s development was “in a good place,” though she couldn’t announce anything yet.
There’s no word yet on if Julie Andrews, who portray Princess Mia’s grandmother Queen Clarisse Renaldi, will return to de franchise. Andrews had expressed doubts about her involvement in December 2022 due to her age and de time that has passed since de last film.
