De recent conflict between Israel and Lebanon don dey cause serious damage and loss of life. According to Lebanon Health Minister, at least 2,000 people don die since the start of the Israeli attacks, including at least 127 children, most of them in the last two weeks.
World Health Organization (WHO) Director, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, talk say Israeli attacks make am impossible for WHO to deliver large shipment of trauma and medical supplies to Beirut. Israeli strikes kill 28 health workers in just one 24-hour span and shut down dozens of hospitals and clinics in southern Lebanon.
37 health facilities have been closed, and in Beirut, three hospitals have been forced to fully evacuate staff and patients, while another two were partially evacuated. Many health workers no dey report to duty because dem flee the areas where dem work due to bombardments.
In addition, Israeli forces continue their relentless attacks on Gaza, blowing up residential buildings near the new Sedat camp and civilian homes in Deir al-Balah and Khan Yunis. Palestinian Health Ministry report say at least 14 people were killed and 50 wounded over the last 24 hours.
