Nigerian music stars Davido and Goya Menor don dey vie for the prestigious Grammy Award in the category of Best African Music Performance. Five-time Grammy winner, Angelique Kidjo, wey feature Davido in her song ‘Joy‘, don submit the track for consideration in two categories for the 2025 Grammy Awards.
‘Joy’, wey be the second collaboration between Angelique Kidjo and Davido, was released on 30 August 2024. The song dey compete for Best African Music Performance and Record of the Year. This no be the first time Davido dey nominated for Grammy; last year, his album ‘Timeless’ and songs ‘Feel‘ and ‘Unavailable’ get nominations.
On the other hand, Goya Menor also submit his song ‘AWILOH’ featuring Portable for Best African Music Performance. Goya Menor announce dis on his social media page, calling for support for the Grammy consideration.
The nominations for the 67th Grammy Awards go dey announced on 8 November 2024, while the ceremony go hold on 2 February 2025 in Los Angeles.
