Army declare soldier wanted for selling military uniform to terrorists

Di Nigerian Army don declare one of im own personnel, Private Mohammed Yusuf Amutu, wanted for alleged illegal sale and supply of military uniforms to terrorists and other criminal elements.

Di announcement come from di Headquarters Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC) through a statement by Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Major Oluwatope Aluko, on Thursday.

According to di military authorities, preliminary investigations show say di soldier, wey dey serve at di Nigerian Army Ordnance Kits Factory, abscond from im unit on June 3, 2026.

Di Army say intensive efforts dey ongoing to locate and apprehend am so dat e go face full investigation and appropriate disciplinary action according to military laws.

Di Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps state clearly say dem get zero tolerance for misconduct, indiscipline, or any act wey fit compromise di operational effectiveness, integrity, and reputation of di Nigerian Army or threaten national security.

Di military warn say any personnel wey dem find to don aid terrorists, criminals, or other non-state actors through unauthorized sale, diversion, or distribution of military uniforms, accoutrements, or other controlled items go face di full weight of military and civil laws.

Di Corps appeal to members of di public to support ongoing efforts by providing credible information wey go lead to di arrest of di wanted soldier.

Dem note say such information suppose report immediately to di nearest military formation or any security agency.
