Di Nigerian Air Force (NAF) don continue to give aerial surveillance support for di ongoing efforts to rescue teachers and pupils wey dem abduct from Yawota and Ahoro-Esinele communities for Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
For a statement by NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde disclose dis during a courtesy visit by di representative of di Chief of di Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, and di Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Suleh, on 5 June 2026.
According to di statement, Makinde reveal say NAF promptly deploy an aerial surveillance platform immediately after di abduction was reported, wey provide critical intelligence to support search-and-rescue operations.

NAF say Makinde appeal for patience and support from residents, assure dem say all necessary resources dey deploy to ensure di successful resolution of di situation.
“He commend di CAS and di NAF for dia swift response and sustained support, noting say di Air Force make di surveillance platform available while Oyo State’s newly acquired aerial assets still dey assemble at di NAF Base, Lagos.
“Makinde further explain say di state acquire di platforms following consultations with di NAF to ensure access to maintenance support, engineering expertise and pilot training.
