A production presentation for JTBC new weekend drama ‘Reborn Rookie’ happen on afternoon of 28th at The Link Seoul, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel for Guro District, Seoul.

Director Go Hye-jin introduce series, saying, ‘E tell story of person wey once stand at very top joining company as low-level employee and looking back on reality of workplace, family, and life. The soul-swap fantasy na basic setup, but e also carry story about family and life, so I think viewers go enjoy am.’
Kim Soon-ok, writer behind ‘The Penthouse: War in Life,’ join project as creator.

He add, ‘My goal na to hear people say, So this na wetin Kim Soon-ok drama fit be like. We really work hard.’
Lee Jun-young play Hwang Junhyun, soccer player wey join Choi Sung FC, first-division club, only to suffer unexpected collision and end up swapping souls with Kang Yong-ho, chairman of Choi Sung Group, wey Son Hyun-joo play.
Explaining why he choose project, he say, ‘Senior Son Hyun-joo na legendary actor wey every generation love and great senior. I no want regret not taking this role. Whatever outcome, I want take challenge. I believe there definitely something to gain.’
Lee Jun-young add, ‘Before script reading, I get chance to have meal and spend time with Senior Son Hyun-joo.’
He continue, ‘After that, I watch plenty of his videos. Rather than trying to imitate am or do Son Hyun-joo impression, I naturally use im way of speaking for everyday life. I no try to force am.’
He add, ‘On my first day of filming, he call me and say, From now on, you be Kang Yong-ho, so just do wetin you want. No make am too difficult.’
Lee Jun-young also take lessons to prepare for role of soccer player. He say, ‘Whenever I get time between shoots, I go practice soccer. I also take soccer lessons and practice celebrations.’
For drama, Lee Jun-young go share father-daughter dynamic with Lee Ju-myoung, wey play Kang Bang-geul, hidden member of chaebol family.
Lee Jun-young say, ‘Lee Ju-myoung na passionate actress wey prepare thoroughly and dey very responsible, so I end up prepare plenty too. She dey so good, but she worry plenty. I think we get closer because I tease am plenty on purpose. People often say I seem like old man. I give am plenty nagging.’
Lee Ju-myoung say, ‘We both get introverted personalities, so I wonder weda we fit make am fun. But as we get closer, he start say plenty father-like things. I think our real chemistry go come through clearly.’
