Dangote truck crash drop 56% after FRSC gap analysis

According to am, di intervention by FRSC don reposition Dangote fleet to become model for fleet management and road safety compliance across Africa. Di FRSC Gap Analysis wey dem do for September 2025 don reveal critical operational lapses, including speed limiter violations, poor driver rest management, overloading, weak safety monitoring systems and high crash exposure wey human factors cause.

But after Dangote implement di recommendations, comparative crash data between first quarter of 2025 and first quarter of 2026 show remarkable improvement. Statistics show 56 percent reduction in crashes, from 25 cases for Q1 2025 to 11 cases for Q1 2026. Fatal crashes also decline by 36 percent, while number of persons injured reduce by 52 percent from 89 to 42.

Most important, deaths wey crash cause drop by 60 percent from 35 recorded deaths for 2025 to 14 for 2026.
