Indian Navy go hold big meeting as West Asia wahala dey affect oil price

Top big men for Indian Navy go gather for New Delhi from Tuesday as dem dey plan how to protect our oil ships from West Asia wahala. The meeting wey go last three days na to discuss how Iran and US war dey affect our energy security. As you know, crude oil price don jump 23 percent since last year because of the crisis for Strait of Hormuz.

Na serious matter be this. Indian Navy don dey escort our ships wey carry oil and gas for Gulf of Oman for some years now. But now, the wahala don increase. Iran still dey block ships from passing through the Strait until dem agree with US for peace talk. Even though US say dem don destroy 90 percent of Iran navy, Iran still get power to block the waterway with mines and drones.

The commanders conference go hold for Nausena Bhawan from April 14 to 16. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi go lead the meeting. Big men like Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan go address the officers. Dem go review how to protect our maritime interests and make sure our navy fit handle any challenge.

One insider tell us say the meeting go focus on how to use technology like Artificial Intelligence and unmanned systems. Dem also go discuss how to work with other countries for Indian Ocean Region. The Navy say dem want to be the “preferred security partner” for the area.

Meanwhile, for Pakistan, US Vice President JD Vance and Iranian delegation just finish 21 hours of peace talk without agreement. Vance say Iran no gree stop their nuclear program. Iran say US dey make “excessive demands.” So the ceasefire wey dey hold for two weeks now dey shaky.

As the talk fail, Iran still dey control Strait of Hormuz. US say two of their warships don pass through the strait to clear mines, but Iran deny say any US ship enter. Iran warn say any military ship wey try to pass go face “firm and forceful response.”

For India, the wahala dey affect our economy. New report from Crisil say the crisis fit make our current account deficit reach 2 percent of GDP. Shipping and insurance cost don rise, and if Indian workers for West Asia lose their jobs, remittances go drop. Services sector dey help small, but if tension continue, economic growth fit slow from 7.1 to 6.8 percent.

Former Indian Navy chief Admiral Arun Prakash (retired) write say even though Iran navy don suffer damage, their coastal missiles, drones, and sea mines still fit block ships from passing. Mike Froman from Council on Foreign Relations add say Iran don find cheap way to use the chokepoint to affect global economy.

The Indian Navy commanders go use the meeting to plan how to protect our oil ships better. Dem go discuss operational readiness, training, and how to work with other services. Dem also go review implementation of AI roadmap for navy operations.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar just meet UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss regional situation. Jaishankar thank UAE for ensuring safety of Indian community there. The meeting show how India dey engage with partners for the region.

As the world dey watch West Asia, all eyes dey on Strait of Hormuz. The waterway wey carry one-fifth of world crude oil don become battleground. For India, our energy security dey at stake. The navy commanders meeting na timely response to the crisis.
