Lagos State Government don announce say some major roads for state go dey partly closed for two days. This one na because President Bola Tinubu dey come inaugurate some projects for state. Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, talk say the measure na to allow smooth movement and maintain safety during the events. Him say motorists wey dey pass the affected areas go need to find other roads to avoid serious delay.
For Wednesday, April 8, traffic around Opebi, Allen Avenue, Ikeja and Ojota go dey affected between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This one na because of the inauguration of Opebi-Mende Link Bridge. Government advise say drivers wey dey use these routes during this period make dem use other roads.
Activities go continue for Thursday, April 9, with two separate events. The first one go take place between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for Tolu Schools Complex for Ajegunle. Movement around Olodi Apapa and nearby areas go dey slow during this time, and drivers get advice to plan their journey well.
Later for the same day, another event go hold for Eko Hotel for Victoria Island from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Traffic go build up for that area because of security arrangements and crowd movement. Road users get encouragement to avoid the route if possible or prepare for delays.
Government also talk say officials of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority go dey on ground to direct traffic and assist commuters along the affected routes. Residents get urge to follow instructions from traffic officers and cooperate throughout the period.
The government add say the road closures na temporary and necessary for the smooth running of the events. President Tinubu dey on two-day official visit to his home-state. This na the third visit to states by the President beginning with Plateau State to commiserate with the government and the people over last week’s Palm Sunday killings.
