Governor Bassey Otu don talk before say 30 pipo wound for di explosion wey happen on Saturday for Edibe Edibe area for Calabar South. Di governor promise say government go pay all di hospital bills for di victims.
Dr Ayuk say im visit di hospital na to see how di victims dey. “We reach Accident and Emergency Department for UCTH, wia about 60 victims of di gas explosion dey receive treatment,” im talk.
Di commissioner add say dem go move pipo wey get small burn injuries go General Hospital, Calabar, to make UCTH no too full and to make sure all victims get better care.
Mr Ekpeyong Akiba, Special Adviser to Governor on General Duties, follow Dr Ayuk for di visit. Prof Ikpeme Ikpeme, Chief Medical Director for UCTH, welcome dem and give update about di victims condition and how dem dey treat dem.
Di visit na part of state government plan to handle di explosion matter. Health authorities dey work to make sure all affected pipo get quick and proper treatment.
Di explosion happen because gas leak from one gas plant for Edibe Edibe area. Di explosion affect many houses and wound plenty pipo.
