Na big wahala dey for road matter for Naija, but FRSC no dey slack! Dis one na wetin happen for Holy Trinity Anglican Church for Igbo-Ukwu. So, last Sunday, dem gather all the people wey dey worship for church, come teach dem beta road safety moves.
Na everybody dey waka for road, but how many sabi the right way to flex correct? Na im make Corps Commander Bridget Asekauno come dey preach road safety gospel. She talk say make everybody dey alert for pedestrian safety, the importance of wearing crash helmets, and say overloaded vehicles be like time bomb. Chai!
Asekauno no stop there o, she talk say make people sabi how to cross road well, and warn dem about the gbege wey fit happen for dangerous driving. Na dem type matter wey fit save life, my people!
According to am, this church program no be just for show; na to put road safety for everybody mind, so we fit reduce road accidents for Anambra by 10 percent. E be like say na serious matter dem dey handle.
“I go urge all drivers, bikers, even pedestrians, make una carry this safety gist for head,” she yarn. “Everybody get role wey dem go play to make road better for person wey dey waka or drive.”
Dem share flyers full ground, and worshippers fit ask questions too. Na im make the thing sweet pass; people fit understand better. The officiating Priest, Rev. Emmanuel Nwankwo, even thank Asekauno and her squad well well as dem carry this serious gist come church.
Dis kain collaboration between FRSC and church no be new thing. E don show say faith-based organizations fit join hand to push for safer roads. Road safety no be option, na lifestyle!
Wetin dey happen for road na serious matter; people dey lose life like say na water wey dey pour for ground. Na why dem dey vex for this initiative, as e go help plenty things. If dem fit involve all these communities, we fit create better environment for all of us.
