Priests for church don remind everybody say this season na time for fasting, prayer and almsgiving. And we sabi say this one dey follow Jesus own pattern when e dey hide for wilderness before e face cross.
As for our Muslim brothers and sisters, dem don kick off Ramadan, wey be time of fasting, prayer, and serious reflection. E start with suhoor, that pre-dawn chop, before dem go carry vex come for Maghrib prayer and iftar later. Na big vibe of peace and unity be this two seasons wey dey happen together!
President Bola Tinubu don yarn say this coincidence no be usual and e go remind all of us say we dey share plenty things in common. E encourage us to promote good neighbourliness and pray for Naija’s progress and security, make we no forget say na as one people under God we dey!
