Basil wey dey represent Jada/Ganye/Toungo/Mayo-Belwa Federal Constituency under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), talk am well as e dey try reason with Atiku my people. Na two weeks after Atiku’s son, Abba, tok say e don join APC wey we dey hear this one. Na wah! E mean say Atiku need to leave fight for politics and allow younger guys pick the baton.
“See, my people – time dey come when person go need to step back and allow fresh blood take charge. No be say age go dey on your side forever,” na wetin Basil yarn for interview wey PUNCH Nigeria carry give us. E no dey bad at all, make we reason am.
As we dey follow the gist, Basil don hail Atiku as powerful politician. But e don dey feel say e go better if Atiku become adviser wey fit guide younger politicians make dem no lose direction. “When you look around and see your old pals don dey go, na time to bow out. E mean sey your legacy dey important, make you no set am on fire like that,” Basil add.
Basil also dey talk about the PDP for Adamawa and say dem still get correct power. E even talk sey politics no be only for media wahala, because some politicians go dey loud for social media but dem no dey ground when election come. Na dem guys go just dey talk anyhow like say na dem go win.
Meanwhile, your boy Abba Atiku, Atiku’s son, don waka join APC, wey he collect card for Gwadabawa Ward. Him talk sey na to support President Bola Tinubu and him good works make him join am. “No other party fit stop Tinubu from going back to Aso Rock for 2027. You see say him dey appoint people based on wetin dem fit do, no be tribalism,” Abba dey explain.
Abba don put mouth for Tinubu matter, e tell everybody make dem join hands and support the president. “Make we no allow party matter stop us from pushing for good governance, we go make am work together,” na wetin Abba dey push for mind.
But no forget sey, another son of Atiku, Adamu, still dey run with PDP as Commissioner for Works and Energy Development wey dey serve under Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri. Na sure sey family saga dey go deeper as Atiku dey eye presidential seat with African Democratic Congress, while his sons dey play for different sides of the politics table.
