This electrification program no be small thing o! Dem wan distribute 600 transformers and accessories across all the 23 Local Government Areas for Kaduna. Imagine how we go fit enjoy light wey dey reliable, no more ‘light come, light go’ wahala. Dem still dey plan to deploy 10,000 solar-powered street lights. Nigeria, our time don come!
For the launch wey happen last Wednesday, Governor Sani come yarn as he dey do am. E say electricity na the beating heart of our society, no be luxury again. Na everybody, from our welders to tailors and even our ICT pipo, suppose get access to power wey go make their hustle dey shine!
“We no go allow electricity to be for just the big boys in town again; everybody go fit enjoy am,” na wetin the Governor talk straight to the point. If you ask how e go take change the economy, no be story! Reliable power go help hospitals run well, give our children better education, and help farmers irrigate their farms. E be like say na small, small businesses go fit grow like palm tree.
Governor Sani still add say e don clean up plenty stalled power projects since e come office almost three years ago. Na so dem don complete 190 out of 225 Primary Health Care Centres with solar mini-grid. If you sabi wetin dey happen for health sector, you go know say clean energy dey save lives, especially for our mothers and children!
And no forget about the Maraban Jos substation wey dey don come back to light after e don dey sit down for long. E no be just any substation – na serious industrial corridor wey go turn Kaduna to economic hub wey fit attract investors from everywhere.
As e dey happen, even the Kubau Local Government Area don see the magic of light when Demau solar model don light up 450 households after dem suffer darkness for nearly ten years. No be joke! More solar projects dey on the way wey go deliver 1,694-kilowatt power for communities like Chara, Gidan Kundi, Gora, and Hawan Mai Mashi.
Plus, the Governor don already sign MOU with the Rural Electrification Agency for 1.5-megawatt project for Kaduna Polytechnic and 8-megawatt allocation for Ahmadu Bello University. Education no go remain the same again; we go see results wey go sharp like cutlass!
This na just the beginning. De power wahala wey dey hold us down go soon be history, as dis electrification plan dey show say dem dey serious. Kaduna, shine your eye, better days dey come!
