NDDC Don Train 400 Youths on CNG Conversion for Better Future

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) don finally launch serious training for 400 youths wey dey this Niger Delta region. E be like say dem wan carry these young guys go next level with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Autogas Conversion. Na for Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre for Uyo, Akwa Ibom State dem take flag am off.

Managing Director wey be Samuel Ogbuku talk say dis training na big investment for human capital development. E gree say na strategic move wey go help Niger Delta youths shine for Nigeria energy transition matter. No be small thing, as di statement come from Director of Corporate Affairs, Seledi Thompson-Wakama, to newsmen for Port Harcourt.

Ogbuku, wey send Dr. Victor Antai come represent am, talk say di training go run in two batches, each batch go last three weeks. Dem go teach participants practical skills wey relate to CNG vehicle conversion, maintenance and safety as wey dey work for di global best practices.

He come yarn say, ‘CNG na cleaner and safer alternative to di normal fuel wey we dey use. As people dey begin sabi di benefits of CNG-powered vehicles, na so demand for skilled technicians dey grow.’ Dis one na good news for our youths because e fit help reduce unemployment and promote entrepreneurship for di Niger Delta region.

Ogbuku come advise di youths say make dem no sell di starter packs wey go give dem after graduation o! E mean say dem need to take di training serious so dat dem fit benefit well well.

Mrs. Lyna Okara, wey be di Director of Commercial and Industrial Development, confirm say dem don select 400 participants for di programme. She encourage dem to use di chance well and pay attention to di training wey dey ground.

Mr. Olayinka Rufai wey be representative of di Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (PI-CNG), also praise di NDDC for di plan. E say dis kind of initiative na correct move wey dey align with Federal Government vision for clean energy.

Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono, wey dey represent Akwa Ibom State for di NDDC Board, come tell di youths say make dem use di skills wey dem go acquire well because e fit open doors for dem. E rant say di CNG conversion training go give dem plenty opportunities to shine.

Mr. Saidu Hamdullahi, di Head Trainer from Viedenburg Energy Resources, come share him own advice too. Him tell di participants say make dem seize di opportunity to pack dem future for energy sector well. As we dey talk am, Compressed Natural Gas na clean fuel wey dey help reduce emissions wey dey choke our environment.

CNG no be play matter, e dey safe, cost-effective, and e na good alternative to petrol and diesel. E dey consist mainly of methane wey dem don compress make e dey easier to store and transport. So, as dem dey embark on dis training, na so youths go dey skill up and bring better future for dem and Nigeria.
